As with most people, I had no idea that IPv6 existed. In my day to day use of the internet, there is really only a small percentage of customers who would be using an IPv6 enabled device.
But if you want to dig into the recent past, it’s not so hard to find and look up old websites. All you need is the command line, and a little time on the internet. In the article, I’ll be looking at some of the problems I ran into.
The easiest way to make your IPV6 connection is to install a program called “iptables”. This is the only tool you need to configure. The program comes as part of the Linux system. It’s a great tool and a very basic one at that.
Once installed, it’s a good idea to edit your system’s files. These can be done via your command line. The instructions to this is relatively simple. The best thing to do is to head to the command line, then in there, run:
!ipconfig /release
!ipconfig /renew
!ipv6.conf
!ipv6 route -n
!ipv6 search
!ipv6 websites
!ipv6 mask
!ipv6 pf
!iptables
!ipv6 del
!iptables tables
